Part of Terang since the beginning
The Terang Hotel was established in 1859 by James McAdie and is recognised as the town's first hostelry. From its earliest days, it was more than a place to eat or stay: it was where travellers, farmers, workers and locals met.
Across generations, the town changed around it. The hotel remained a familiar place for a meal, a drink, a celebration and a story shared at the bar.
Old character, genuine country comfort
Today, The Middle Terang Hotel brings that history together with the things people still want from their local: hearty meals, cold drinks, a relaxed beer garden, rooms upstairs and spaces for community gatherings.
Operated by One Plus Hospitality Group Pty Ltd, the hotel is still a place where locals gather, visitors feel at home and new stories are made.
